Since the installation involves, with a clear taste for the anecdote and the non-affected methaphor, ties, buttons and shoes, objects which are taken from the basic functional context to be aesthetically transformed by rythmical structures, repetitions and alterations-between poetic and ironic- from their identity as an object of use. This generic adulteration causes a reaction, in which feelings of surprise, amusement and uncertainty are mixed. When does this circunstantial world turn into art? Are we facing a myth with a contemporary overtone that opts to employ a Mosaic of references from the real world?

The use of intertextuality to supplant intersubjectivity is typical in post-modern art. The elements of reality and imagination form a device, whose axes could be identity (sexual, cultural and aesthetic) and alination (playful, ironic and rebellious). It is a visual and conceptual provocation, but it is neither a confession, nor a dialogue between similar souls. Through this ?artistic contamination?, a space rejecting ambiguous environments which mythicizes time and space is formed, something that has become typical in the installations in Lima during the last two years : a room to exercise the mind, where communication is frank, but not less forceful or subtle. It is an apparently simple work of art but it calls for the participation of the public, a democratizing attitude of aesthetic nature, a taste for playing and the interest for a personal reflection on the marks that this world has left upon us.
